Overturning Roe vs Wade
The liberal media and the DNC is making it sound as if overturning a Federal case is simple. No, overturning a federal case is not simple, and since time has passed, Roe vs Wade is not the only federal case that regulates abortion laws. Each of those cases would need to be overturned, including Roe vs. Wade. Republicans have controlled the Supreme Court with at least a one Judge lead since at least 1988. And when Republicans had 7 out of 9 Judges in the Supreme Court, Roe vs. Wade was not overturned. Overturning a court proceeding is not about Republican vs. Democrat, it is about maintaining the current federal laws. Several groups and blogs have also indicated that all Congress must do is vote in a new law and it could instantly overturn Roe vs. Wade. That would be a great big NO. If Congress votes in a new law, it must be approved by the Supreme Court. If the new law goes against the Constitution, then the new law does not get to go into effect.
